Going Green Humber Business Week event to highlight benefits of businesses switching to renewable energy

Martin Dixon Ltd is delighted to be providing businesses across the region the opportunity to take advice on the benefits of switching to renewable energy after securing a superb line-up of leaders in the industry to speak at our Humber Business Week 2015 event.

Going Green – Bringing Business into the Renewables Age – will be held at the KC Stadium on June 2, 2015 from 8.30am to 10:30am, and is free to attend.

It is being staged to help companies across Hull and East Yorkshire understand how adopting new renewable technologies and methods into their business can have a massive impact on their bottom line.

Speakers, from companies including the likes of wind giants Siemens, EDP Energy - one of the major European operators in the energy sector – and award-winning biomass firm Hargassner, will also outline how adopting renewable forms of energy can have both a beneficial impact on the environment, and a company’s carbon footprint.

Frank Saunders, business development manager at Martin Dixon Ltd, which is staging the event with Sandersons Solicitors, has seen a huge demand for solar, biomass and other green energy systems over the past 12 months.

And he says most companies are amazed by the benefits a switch to green energy can bring.

“We have found that many businesses are keen to make the move into renewable energy, but there is a fear of stepping into the unknown, what it all entails, and what benefits it will actually bring to them in the cold light of day,” he said.

“When it is all laid out in front of them, they quickly see there is only one decision to make.

“The questions they all ask are around the cost, the impact on the business both short term and long term, and ultimately, what impact it will have on their bottom line. Nobody would expect a business owner to ask anything else.

“What we have tried to do for this event is bring together speakers with vast knowledge and experience of all areas of renewable energy to highlight why businesses should be looking towards renewable energy, but perhaps even more importantly, why they must not be afraid of making the switch.”

Speakers include:

Gary Major, Technical Manager, Hargassner, on the benefits of biomass

• Brian Pinner, EDP energy, on making the most of solar energy

• Chris Barker, Director of Clear Asset Finance, on funding a move into renewable energy

• Wes Wright of Siemens

The seminar, which is being held at the Raich Carter Suite at the KC Stadium, is free to attend.

Client Testimonials

Allan Whitehead, site manager, South Cave CE Primary School

Martin Dixon Ltd were brilliant. They stood out ahead of all other firms we looked at across the country as they could offer us the complete package. It was great to use an established local company with the expertise to deliver this for us, and throughout their time on site they were superb. Financially, the savings and extra income will allow us to run the school for a year at no cost to us.

Janet Huscroft, Headteacher, Hook CE Primary School

I was introduced to the work of Martin Dixon at an awareness raising meeting organised by the local NAHT Association. They installed solar panels and LED lighting throughout the school. The work was promptly carried out during the summer break of 2015, we are delighted with the results. I would have no hesitation in recommending Martin Dixon as a company to fulfil what they promise.

Alison Risebury, School Business Manager, Swinefleet Primary School

After just having had our LED lights fitted in school this week, I just wanted to get in touch to say thankyou to Martin Dixon for the work you did. All lights are now changed making a massive difference to the lighting within our school and hopefully to our electrical costs! Many thanks for the level of service that you have given us.
