MDL carried out a full Mechanical & Electrical refit of the Wakefield Delivery Office plant room. The goal of the project was to remove all existing Hamworthy boilers, flues, connections, pipework and provide a complete electrical installation.
We installed 5 new Hamworthy Purewell Classic MPC/400/5/80 automatic boilers complete with fan dilution flu system with all associated pipework, electricals and controls.
MDL undertook the complete conversion of a Dutch working barge into 6 luxury apartments comprising of a kitchen / living room, 1 or 2 bedrooms and shower room.
Each apartment has a wet under floor heating system fed from a central boiler plant which also serves the hot water requirement. They were also fitted with burglar and fire alarm systems and telephone points.
These apartments are now moored on the Thames in London and connected to land services by our engineers.
MDL project managed the complete renewal of this property which included stripping all the way back to brickwork, a complete re-wire and re-plumbing, as well as a full central heating system reforming interior to incorporate a new ensuite in the master bedroom. A complete new kitchen was also installed as well as lighting and audio systems, flooring etc.
