Policy

Industrial Relations Policy Statement

Martin Dixon Limited acknowledges the value of its employees at all levels throughout the organisation and the importance of good relationships and cooperation which allows contract completion to quality, programme, budget and client satisfaction.

The Company policy for recruitment is initially from the existing workforce, followed by selection from a database of past employees and finally by recruitment. Prospective candidates are interviewed prior to offer of employment, references of previous employment history verified and induction of company and site procedures at commencement.

Maintaining good relationships with trades is regarded as an important aspect of Project and Company Management. It is the contract manager’s responsibility to establish direct communication with site employees, ensuring the maintenance of the Industrial Relations Policy at site.


Quality Assurance Policy Statement
It is the Policy of Martin Dixon Limited that all the work undertaken by the Company shall be completed in accordance with prevalent specifications and statutory regulations, and that it shall be fit for the purpose for which it was contracted.


Quality Development Programme
The Company is working towards operating a three-tier programme of Quality.


A Quality Assurance Manual
Identifying the areas of activity covered by the quality system and indicators to specific working procedures.


Quality Procedures
Consisting of an assembly of control procedures defining the specific responsibilities and actions to be taken.


Technical & Work Instructions
Specific to the type of work to be carried out and the personnel designated the task.

The above Quality programme is designed to ensure that quality is an integral part of every installation undertaken.


Environmental Policy Statement
Martin Dixon Limited is committed to the protection of the environment wherever its operations are undertaken considering local, project and client requirements. The company’s objective is to provide and maintain a place of work that offers minimal risk of adverse environmental effects by:

  • The implementation of measures to minimise the impact of our operations on the environment by conserving resources and reducing wastage wherever possible.
  • Providing information to enable products utilised to be used stored and disposed of in a proper manner.
  • Encourage employees at all levels within the organisation to consider environmental issues when tendering, purchasing and undertaking site activities.
  • Consulting with other organisations in the best interests of the environment.

Health & Safety Policy Statement

It is the policy of the company to ensure so far as is reasonably practicable the health, safety and welfare of its employees whilst at work and others who may be affected by its activities. The Directors whilst retaining overall responsibility for the implementation of the policy will make the necessary arrangements for its execution by delegation through the management structure.

The company’s objective is to provide and maintain a place of work, which is free from risk and will be achieved by:

  • The provision of adequate resources and arrangements to enable the policy to be fulfilled.
  • Providing and maintaining suitable plant equipment and materials.
  • The implementation of systems of work, to ensure a place of work that is safe and free of risk to health and safety.
  • The provision of adequate facilities and arrangements for the welfare of employees at work.
  • The provision of adequate supervision, information, instruction and training.
  • The development, implementation, and review of policies and procedures to improve working condition and ensure compliance with statutory duties.
  • Employees are required to take reasonable care for the health, safety and welfare of themselves and others that may be affected by their acts or omissions.
